Girl Scout Book Club
Jan and her team spent the afternoon with a Girl Scout Book Club group in Los Angeles. And what a fun day it was! Having received advanced copies of Jan’s Queens of Aventurine book, the girls shared what they would do as a Queen of Aventurine! As they partnered up to participate in a video shoot, they were interviewed about the story, and shared their own thoughts and dreams. And then they got creative – bringing the world of Aventurine to life by making their own Mermaid Crystal Viewers to match the magical object in the story.

Jan spent an evening with Wise Women of Sedona talking about handing down womens’ wisdom through her stories. They were interviewed about stories and wisdom they might share with girls, and shared their own thoughts and dreams.One family of women included 5 generations from Greatgrandmother, grandmother, Mother, and two daughters. They were especially interested in telling their secrets for holding the family together through generations.
